Controller and contact

JIGO SRL, the company developing and legally referencing CineQuill, is the data controller for personal data processed through the service.

For privacy requests, data rights or questions, write to hello@jigoweb.com. For legally formal communications, use the certified email address jigo@pec.it. The company website is https://www.jigoweb.com/.

If a DPO is appointed or the company details change, this section should be updated with the full address and contact details.

Data we process

• Account and authentication data: email, user ID, sessions, magic links and login data.
• Profile and preference data: display name, bio, avatar, editor preferences, language and theme.
• Creative content: projects, story bible, characters, structure, scenes, screenplays, revisions, backups and comments.
• Collaboration data: invitations, roles, workspaces, memberships and invited email addresses.
• AI data: prompts, selections, project context, chat messages, generated outputs and token usage metrics.
• Billing data: Stripe customer ID, plan status, checkout sessions, payment metadata and AI budget usage.
• Technical data: application logs, IP address in infrastructure logs, user agent, referrer, errors and security data.

Purposes and legal bases

• Contract performance: creating and managing accounts, projects, workspaces, editor, exports, AI features, billing and requested support.
• Legal obligations: retaining tax, accounting and payment-related information where required.
• Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, debugging, service availability, collaboration invites and aggregated non-identifying analytics.
• Consent: future optional processing, such as non-transactional marketing or advertising tags, will be enabled only with consent where required.

Content and AI features

Your content remains yours. CineQuill does not claim ownership over your works and does not use your material to train public models.

When you use Copilot, selection rewrite or field generation, CineQuill sends Anthropic the text needed to perform the request: prompt, selected text, project context and operational instructions. No AI analysis runs in the background without an action from you.

Do not include unnecessary third-party personal data, special categories of data or confidential information in projects or prompts if you do not want that information processed by an AI provider.

Cookies, localStorage and analytics

CineQuill uses necessary or functional cookies and local storage: Supabase sessions for authentication, language cookies, localStorage for theme, onboarding, UI preferences and migration of legacy chat history.

These tools are not used for behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking. In the recommended current setup, CineQuill uses Vercel Analytics in a cookieless, aggregated mode to measure pages and non-identifying conversions.

Google Tag Manager exists in the code only as an environment-gated integration. If it is later enabled for non-exempt analytics, advertising, pixels, remarketing, heatmaps, session recording or non-essential third-party widgets, CineQuill will introduce a cookie manager with prior consent and withdrawal.

Processors and recipients

• Supabase: authentication, database, storage, RLS rules and sessions.
• Vercel: hosting, technical logs and cookieless Vercel Analytics.
• Stripe: checkout, subscriptions, top-ups, invoicing and customer portal. CineQuill does not store full card details.
• Anthropic: processing AI requests initiated by the user.
• Resend: sending magic links, invitations and transactional emails.

Transfers outside the EEA and safeguards

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or use international subprocessors. CineQuill should keep DPAs, subprocessor lists and transfer safeguards up to date, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other applicable mechanisms.

Retention

• Account and profile: for the life of the account and as needed for requests, security and legal obligations.
• Creative content: while it remains in your account or workspace, subject to technical backups and operational deletion windows.
• AI chat, revisions and token usage: to provide continuity, quota controls, debugging and security.
• Billing and payments: for the periods required by tax, accounting, contractual and anti-fraud obligations.
• Technical logs: for limited periods proportionate to security, diagnostics and service availability.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

To protect the account, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request.

Children

CineQuill is not designed for users below the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal data without authorization, contact us to request deletion.

Updates

We may update this policy when the product, providers, legal bases or regulatory requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through proportionate means.
